SOCIAL NIGHT, Angelika Erbsland – Contemporary Acrylic landscapes

Angelicas’ demonstration was a huge success, the audience was intrigued by her passion for her painting

and her journey of discovery as she added to the canvas finding new pathways to explore with her brushes and palette.

Angelica fielded many questions Illustrating her passion with her words and hand gestures.

After the demonstration she took time to explain her techniques and materials to many of the audience as they crowded around her table.

Her journey proved to be far too long to complete her painting, but what she achieved left the audience with plenty of inspiration for future works.

Angelika Erbsland – Contemporary Acrylic landscapes Integrating patterns and shapes from nature

After studying painting, drawing and ceramics at TAFE in S.A., I have lived and exhibited extensively in both Adelaide and Sydney, and have taught painting and drawing for 35 years, including overseas workshops. I have explored a variety of media and subject matter, and won numerous prizes for these disciplines. I now enjoy working mainly in acrylics and watercolours in a modern contemporary style.

In this demonstration I will use acrylics, and show my method of constructing a painting predominantly from my imagination. I like to integrate the patterns and shapes in nature in a slightly abstracted representation to create a good composition that still has a narrative.
