Chris, the organiser of our social nights art demonstration sent these great photos of Georgina Mills preparing the support for and positioning the clay for a portrait.

Georgina is a sculptor whose practice explores the human condition through the representation of the figure. She has trained in contemporary sculpture locally at the Adelaide College of the Arts and Figurative Sculpture, internationally at The Florence Academy of Art, Italy.
Her work was been exhibited locally, nationally and internationally and resides in collections over the world.

Georgina’s many successful exhibitions to date include European Museum of Modern Art; Barcelona (2019); Florence Academy of Art Faculty Show, Florence (2019); Tom Bass Prize, Sydney (2020, 2022); Sheltering with Art, Florence Academy of Art Faculty Exhibition, Online (2020); The Main gallery, Adelaide (2021); The David Roche Foundation House Museum, Adelaide (2022) and as an online finalist in the Arts Renewal Centre Salon, America, 2019.

For our Social Night, Georgina will begin a portrait sculpture with a live model. It should be a wonderful evening.

As usual, after the presentation, there will be a chance to socialise with fellow art enthusiasts over supper so bring a small something to share.
